BM TRADA is a UKAS accredited certification body which provides independent third party certification fire services for manufacturing, installation and maintenance service for fire doors and a fire stopping installation certification scheme.
These schemes aim to raise the on-going standard of manufacture, installation and maintenance throughout the lifetime of fire door,s ensuring the product’s fire resistance capabilities are maintained.
There is a legal requirement for manufacturers of fire doors to demonstrate the ability of their products to resist the passage and spread of fire. However, if they are not properly installed, their fire resistance capabilities can be seriously compromised. The BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Installation scheme has been designed to provide reassurance to specifiers, contractors and end users that the product they have chosen has been installed correctly and that it should perform as intended.
The Q-Mark Fire Door Installation scheme is based on training an individual who takes responsibility for the training and work carried out by several operatives. The scheme is designed to ensure that fire doorsets are being installed correctly, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions or appropriate guidelines.

Yes you can! There is a portal to Eworks, our online management system on our website. Once you have your log-in details, you can do much more than just track the status of the job. You can view notes, access confidential documents, photos and check invoices.
FAME Services will provide you with all the necessary documentation to evidence that your Fire Door has been properly installed and that it will perform to the required standard.
Furthermore, FAME Services will provide access via QR Codes and NFC tags on the Record of Installation document and the on the door itself to access this information at any time on our secure database. This will not only allow stakeholders to evidence compliance but also provide records for future inspection and maintenance. In addition this facility fulfills the 'Golden Thread' requirement in recent building legislation changes.
